Ho Ho Hope Santa doesn’t mind if we scream in his ear . . . again.

family 1Last Friday, Anne Louise saw Santa in the mall.  While she was excited to see him in person, her death grip as I lifted her up to see him let me know she was not a big fan . . . yet.  But she talked about Santa all weekend, and this morning kept saying she wanted to “Sit Santa Clause lap” and “ask Santa Clause wagon like Will-Ba” (our triplet friends Will and Barrett let AL share their wagon at Halloween).  Patrick and I decided to get Anne Louise from school early today and take her to see Santa.  Last year, as you know, was not a success.Edited27Edited29Edited31Edited33

Unfortunately, this year was much of the same.  Breakdown in the line waiting for Santa.  Breaking down seeing Santa.  Breakdown trying to get Anne Louise to sit in Santa’s lap.  Breakdown afterwards all the way to the car.  Its becoming our own little Magee family tradition . . . right down to the death grip she has on Patrick as we are trying to get her to sit in his lap.

There is no need for me to write anything further about our visit.  The pictures below require no explanation of how this year’s adventure went.  Spencer was a little unsure at first, but I think when she realized she couldn’t compete with her big sister’s SCREAMING, our little go-with-the-flow baby just decided to grin and bear it.  DSC_0024DSC_0025DSC_0026DSC_0028DSC_0029DSC_0032DSC_0033DSC_0034DSC_0037DSC_0040DSC_0048DSC_0050DSC_0051DSC_0052DSC_0054DSC_0055

Aunt CC volunteered to come with us, and we are grateful she was there to entertain (although she was also probably entertained) and take pictures.  After seeing all these pictures, you can imagine the shock on our faces in the car on the way home when Anne Louise proceeded to tell us VERY cheerfully about how she “Sat Santa Clause lap” and “Santa Clause bring me presents,” and “ask Santa Clause wagon like Will-Ba” and a “dolphin toy.”  I just love how she takes something “traumatic” (or so she made it seem) and turns it into a sweet little memory:)
