Our Monkey Business Halloween!

This Halloween was filled with excitement, especially since Anne Louise was old enough to know what was going on.  This year, she was a Monkey (appropriate, since that is what we call her all the time), and Spencer was a “Nana” (banana).  We went trick-or-treating at Aunt CC’s office, Daddy’s office, AND the neighborhood!  She also had a party at school.  Each time, Anne Louise LOVED putting on her “monkey jacket” (the costume) and doing the monkey (“oooo, oooo, ahhhh, ahhh”) sound.  By the time Halloween came around, she had the routine down.  She’d “knock knock” (on the door, floor, anything), say “tick-or-teat, oooo, ooo, ahhh, ahh), and then say “Candy???”  It was adorable.  Here are some pictures from all the festivities!

Pre-Trick-or-Treating Dinner with Neighbors and then Trick-or-Treating.  We started out as a big group, but the triplets (Anne Louise and “Will-Ba,” the twins that live down the street) ended up together, probably because we were a little pokey – small legs only move so fast!  I like to call AL, Will, and Barrett the triplets because they were all born on the same day!  We had a GREAT time with friends.  (Patrick couldn’t resist dressing up either, and this year, he went as Danny Noonan from Caddyshack).DSC_0100DSC_0106DSC_0114DSC_0133AL likes to be held like she is flying, so this is our little Flying MonkeyDSC_0137DSC_0143DSC_0152DSC_0155DSC_0157DSC_0160DSC_0169DSC_0172

You might be able to tell, but Anne Louise was obsessed with Will-Ba’s wagon.  By the end of the night, the triplets were riding together (although it was only built for two, so someone was always sitting on another person’s lap).  They didn’t seem to mind! I think AL was ready to get home because at one point, she started pushing the wagon.  DSC_0174DSC_0175It was a LATE but great night!  Anne Louise definitely loved getting candy and most enjoyed trying to eat it WITH the wrappers on.  Can’t wait until next year!

Finally, here are a few pictures of AL “monkeying around” at our neighbor’s house before we went trick-or-treating.  They were too cute, so I had to post! DSC_0123DSC_0124DSC_0125DSC_0126DSC_0127DSC_0128DSC_0129DSC_0130
