Anne Louise’s First Real Snow Day!

The weekend started amidst meteorologists’ promises of a HUGE snowstorm for Charlotte.  While the predictions were somewhat of a let down, the weekend was not.  We had a blast being “snowed in” and took advantage of the opportunity to spend time together as a family.  Friday night, Joan and Caroline  (and Lucy, who is better behaved than her parents Briar and Sydney) came over in anticipation of getting snowed in with us, although they were easily able to drive home after dinner and a movie.  Saturday, we awoke to a white winter wonderland, to which Anne Louise could not stop saying “Ooooooooooo” as she stared out the window.  After a fun (and short) Jeep ride to scope out the snow and pick up lunch, we settled in back at home as more snow started to fall.  Sunday, Anne Louise could not stop waiving out the front window at the neighbors sledding down our road, so we bundled up and ventured out.  We really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, and Patrick even borrowed cousin Hill’s sled to take a ride down one of the big hills.  It was a great, relaxing weekend!
