Anne Louise’s first birthday celebration did not stop at school! That night we went to eat Anne Louise’s FAVORITE dinner . . . pizza! She ate almost half of an entire kids’ cheese pizza and loved EVERY minute of it! After dinner, we went to Mama/Nana’s house for Joan’s homemade cupcakes . . . yellow cake with chocolate icing . . . just like we all had when we were little! True to Wilson-First-Birthday form, Anne Louise made a huge mess, which made for great pictures and will undoubtedly make a repeat appearance in a wedding video some day. Joan gave AL the CUTEST tutu, and Carrie got her a matching bow! Here are some pictures from the family bday celebration.
Saturday, Rich and Ave (our friends and neighbors, as well as Anne Louise’s godparents) hosted a WESTERN WINTER WONDERLAND birthday party. Anne Louise wore her new John Deere cowboy boots (thanks to Aunt Caroline) and a new outfit, complete with “party” skirt and jean jacket (thanks to Aunt Joanie) – she was adorable! Most of the other guests pulled out their western gear, too – it was a great party!
We are in awe of Rich and Ave’s gracious hospitality in hosting the party! Furniture was moved, food was cooked and served, a bon fire was made, and drinks were poured. It was a blast and an obvious example of their graciousness and love. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! We are also so grateful for all of our friends that came and “played along” with the western theme by dressing up. We had so much fun with each and every one of you! Anne Louise has been blessed abundantly by your love and friendship over the past year, and we are so appreciative that you took time out of your weekend to help celebrate with her! Yee Haw!
