We are home from the hospital and settling in slowly but surely. I’ll post an update after this, but FIRST, we have to thank a VERY VERY important person who helped us survive our first week! GRANDI! Grandi came down from Virginia Beach the day before Spencer was born and helped take care of Anne Louise while we were in the hospital. She stayed a couple of days after we came home, too, and even left a day late because she was having so much FUN (haha)! Anyway, Anne Louise loved spending time with Grandi, and we enjoyed all the time in the hospital with Spencer and Grandi. Thank you Grandi for EVERYTHING – the day care drop offs, the late nights, the grocery store runs, the diaper changes, and the baby holdings. We had a great visit with you, but most importantly, we appreciated having the extra set of hands at the house!
We are also SO grateful for all the help Gogo and CC provided during these first couple of weeks. The hospital dinners were luscious, and Anne Louise really enjoyed the slumber party on Friday night while we were in the hospital. Thanks for all you did and DO to help with AL and the rest of the Magee clan! Nana has also been a big help with providing us dinners (including an incredible steak dinner last Saturday night that CC and Gogo cooked) and diapers, which has been a HUGE help!! We LOVE yall!!!
It was hard to leave the hospital and all the awesome nursing staff and others there, but we are so glad to be home and settled in to our routine as a “new and improved” family!
