The Magees: Happy Seven Month Birthday Anne Louise!!

Whew! We have been busy! Between trying new foods, swimming in the pool at the Y and in the hot tub (since Patrick turned the temp down), spending time together as a family (and with Aunt Caroline while Mama and Daddy have lots of “date” nights), school, practicing talking (including SEVERAL “da-das” and “da-dEEEEs”), sitting up all the time, visiting with Aunt Misty, and LOTS of other things, it has been a busy couple of weeks for Anne Louise! She is really enjoying her first summer. Not much to write about, but we’ve taken LOTS of pictures to share that are posted after the monthly recap.

Anne Louise’s Seventh Month Stats

Height: not sure since we don’t have a doctor’s visit this month, but she’s ALMOST outgrown her infant carrier, so she’s gotta be pushing 29 inches Weight: not sure because we passed on the Magee Family scale to Kevin and Leslie, but we’ve got a little chunk-a-munk on our hands Head: again, not sure, but with all the babbling she’s doing lately, I’m sure her brain is growing rapidly

Bedtime: 8:00ish (school days, we have to wake her up at 7 so we can get out the door at a decent time; weekends, she likes to sleep until at least 8, sometimes 9!)

Favorite Activity: Talking. Anne Louise LOVES to make noise. Patrick SWEARS she’s said “Daddy” a billion times (and actually, she has) but she doesn’t comprehend what it means yet. It used to be a piece of cake to take her to restaurants because she would sit in her infant carrier and quiet play with her paci. No more Silent AL. She’s a big fan of grunting, squeeling, and talking . . . sometimes VERY loudly. Good thing she’s still cute! She also LOVES sitting up and is getting very good at it.

Biggest Milestone in Month Seven: Trying new foods and learning to sit up on her own. Her favorite food right now is pears, and her least favorite food is peas. She takes a few bites of peas and then spits them all out. Aunt Joan is very proud. But, her teacher Raven (who is a miracle worker) is not giving up and still trying to get her to eat them! We’ll see how that goes.
